About Us

My name is Stacie, my husband is Daniel, and we welcome you to Cades Cove Photography!

We love hiking and photographing the Smoky Mountains, and we want to share our passion with you.

Daniel & I have been visiting the Smokies together for many years now. On our very first trip, we knew there was something special about the area. We began making several trips a year together, and were married there in 2003. When we hiked our first trail, we were hooked. Our twice a year vacations quickly turned into 3, 4, 5, even 6 times a year.  Now, not a day goes by that we don’t dream of being on a trail in the Smokies. Waterfalls, views that go on forever, mountain streams, these are just a few of the amazing things that we have found on our adventures.

A few years ago, I bought Daniel an Olympus DSLR camera that he had been admiring. The next week, we traveled to the Smokies for vacation. It was on that trip that we realized we had found something else we both really loved – photography. When we returned home, we immersed ourselves in photography, reading every book and magazine article we could get our hands on. After this crash course, we were soon photographing anything and everything, to see who could come home with the best shot. When our collection of photos began growing, we decided it was time to share them with the world. And now, they have a home here at CadesCovePhotography.com.

Why did we choose the name Cades Cove Photography? Because Cades Cove is our absolute, favorite place to be in the Smokies.
